Other scholarships

Some EU4M students may currently benefit from scholarships granted every year by the European Union (EACEA). Unfortunately, not all of them are awarded one of these scholarships and some must pay the tuition fees using their own resources.

In this section, we try to help our applicants to find other scholarships. Here you can find a non-exhaustive list (sorted by region of origin) of some institutions offering scholarships for students willing to study in Europe:

 

WORLDWIDE

  • DAAD
  • The German Academic Exchange Service (Deutsche Akademische Austausch Dienst - DAAD) is the largest funding organisation in the world supporting the international exchange of students and scholars. Its aim is to encourage outstanding young students and academics from abroad to come to Germany to study.

  • Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM
  • Scholarship from the German state of Baden-Württemberg. Only for applicants going to Germany for their first or second year.

  • Aga Khan Foundation
  • The Aga Khan Foundation provides a limited number of scholarships each year for postgraduate studies to outstanding students from developing countries. The Foundation accepts applications from countries where it has branches, affiliates or other AKDN agencies which can help with processing applications and interviewing applicants.

  • Toptal scholarships

  • The China Scholarship Council (CSC) is a non-profit institution with legal person status affiliated with the Ministry of Education. Provides financial assistance to the Chinese citizens wishing to study abroad.

  • The projects of the ADB are constantly evolving, some of them refer to scholarship programs for Asian students willing to study abroad.

  • AIFS Study Abroad (USA)
  • AIFS Study Abroad is a division of the American Insititute For Foreign Study (AIFS). AIFS organizes cultural exchange programs for more than 50,000 participants each year.

  • SIT Graduate Institute (USA)
  • World Learning's SIT Graduate Institute offers internationally focused, full-time and low-residency master’s degrees, as well as certificate and professional development programmes. Average scholarships range between $500 and $5,000 for US citizens and permanent residents and between $10,000 and $15,000 for international students.

  • FEA (USA)
  • The Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) is committed to increasing the opportunities for dedicated American students to participate in high-quality, rigorous education abroad programs by reducing financial restrictions through the provision of grants and scholarships.

  • Gilman International Scholarship (USA)
  • This scholarship provides awards for U.S. undergraduate students who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding at a two-year or four-year college or university to participate in study abroad programs worldwide.

  • International Education Fund (USA)
  • Full-time enrolled U.S. undergraduates who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding at a two-year or four-year college or university are eligible to apply for IEF support to enable their participation in study abroad programs worldwide.

  • Organización de Estados Americanos - OEA
  • The OAS Academic Scholarship Program grants scholarships every year for the pursuit of Master's Degrees, Doctoral Degrees and Research leading to a degree.

  • Colfuturo (Colombia)
  • Colfuturo has a scholarship loan program for master studies, comprising a maximum of US$ 25.000 per year and for a maximum of two years. Students can apply for a 50% waiver of the loan once they return to Colombia. Colfuturo also has several agreements with third-party institutions who can eventually lead to full scholarships.

  • ICETEX (Colombia)
  • Instituto Colombiano de Crédito Educativo y Estudios Técnicos en el Exterior, is an institution that promotes higher education in Colombia by granting loans to students and collecting and centralizing scholarships from third-party institutions worldwide.

  • CONACyT (Mexico)
  • The Mexican Council for Science and Technology (Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología, CONACyT) offers full scholarships for Mexican students that want to study a Master’s Degree or PhD, or do research abroad in the fields of science and technology.

  • FIDERH (Mexico)
  • The Banco de México provides special loans for students that want to pursue a postgraduate programme abroad. The duration can be up to 36 months for study or research.

  • FUNED (Mexico)
  • Fundación Mexicana para la Educación, la Tecnología y la Ciencia, offers scholarships and student loans for Mexican university graduates who want to study their full-time Master in Mexico or abroad.

  • DGCIN (Argentina)
  • The DGCIN (Dirección General de Cooperación Internacional) spread calls for Argentine citizens, Graduate Academic Scholarship and Professional Development Courses offered by foreign countries, agencies and international organizations.

  • CONICET (Argentina)
  • The CONICET (Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas) is an Argentine government agency which directs and co-ordinates most of the scientific and technical research done in universities and institutes by funding scientific research and granting scholarships among others.

  • The SPD-affiliated Friedrich Ebert Foundation supports students who can demonstrate social commitment in terms of social democracy in addition to good performance. Application is open to German and foreign students at any time, but no later than the 3rd semester.

  • Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung für die Freiheit
  • The Friedrich Naumann Foundation supports German and foreign students with liberal (FDP near) attitude, which assume social responsibility.

  • Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung
  • In the CSU-affiliated Hanns Seidel Foundation, a Christian-social values understanding is the focus. In addition to outstanding performance and your own personality is therefore the social commitment important prerequisite for an application.

  • The CDU-affiliated KAS is one of the larger associations that supports highly efficient students, which have a social and political commitment and also an affinity to the Christian values.
